Getting Ready for Thanksgiving!

I am so excited!  For the first time in my married life we are having Thanksgiving at our house.  I have never fixed a traditional Thanksgiving meal and I can't wait. 

As it turns out there will only be five us for dinner.  My wonderful Mother-in-law and Father-in-law are coming to share this holiday with us.  My Son and his lovely Wife will be having a sweet little holiday just the two of them...as it should be.  I will miss them terribly but I do understand and I'm beginning to think that Deon and I should have done more of that while the kids where growing up.  We don't have a Thanksgiving tradition of staying home and sharing with just our family.  We always went to extended family so I guess that was our tradition. 

I have to admit I think I'm getting tired of always "going" so I'm really excited about Thursday.  I'm a bit concerned though because the house is still a mess and I haven't bought anything for our feast yet.  Luckily, Mom bought the turkey and they are bringing it with them.  I'm not even sure what our menu is going to be...

     Turkey
     Stuffing
     Gravy
     Green beans
     Salad
     Mashed Potatoes
     Cranberry sauce (if I have too!)

     Sweet Potatoes (not real sure about)
     Rolls
     Tea to drink

How does that sound??  Oh yeah, I forgot dessert...

     Pumpkin Pie
     Pecan Pie
     and vanilla ice cream to go on both!!
